SCYSA Coach Registration

How to become a coachSCYSA Coaches (and Team Managers):  If you have not already been issued a username and password (this is different from the username and password you may have created to register your children), you will need to complete an application to be in the system and to have a team assigned to you.  With our new website, and new registration and scheduling systems, your being in the system is a necessity.  Once in the system you will remain there and will not need to register again.

Please click on "Register" below in order to do so.

Register

Coaches who complete the necessary coursework and submit a completed and verified Police Information Check will be refunded the registration fee for one of their children registered to play.

Please note that it is required of the SCYSA to have on file a Police Information Check completed within the past 36 months for every adult person working with children and youth. There is no fee for this. However, you must register before submitting your forms to the RCMP so that we can provide authorization. If you have submitted a validated PIC to the SCYSA in the last two years, you will not need to do another one at this time. If your birthdate matches that of a known sex offender, you will be fingerprinted and your prints will be sent to Ottawa for verification. Clearance will take 4 months. Thus, registering now to be a coach will ensure that you are able to work with your team in September without supervision.

Download the Police Information Check forms.  These forms are of legal paper size, not letter paper size. Forms are also available directly from the RCMP office.

To receive reimbursement of your child's fees, you must have completed a course relevant to the age group you are coaching, in addition to providing a verified Police Information Check.

To take any of the courses that are being offered, you need to complete the application form, whether or not you have been invited to attend the course.
