VOLUNTEER

SCYSA is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on the efforts of the many volunteers that step forward from our membership. We welcome help at all levels of the organization.

 

Team Related Activities:

Head Coach

  • Date(s): Weekly throughout the season
  • Duties: Coaching

Assistant Coach/Co-Coach

  • Date(s): Weekly throughout the season 
  • Duties: Supporting Coach with Coaching

 

Club Related Activities:

Equipment

  • Date: tbc (usually several days pre-season end of August/early September, and again end of season March/April)
  • Duties: organizing, sorting, inventorying, and preparing equipment for distribution

SCYSA Cleat Swap 

  • Date: September 8th (1.5 hour slots from 9am-3pm)
  • Duties: set up & take down, sorting & organization, cash handling & ticket collection

House Kick-Off Jamboree

  • Date: September 15th (1.5 hour slots from 9am-6pm)
  • Duties: equipment transportation, set up & take down, concession, bouncy castle supervision, drill station leads etc. 

Year End Tournament

  • Date: March 8, 2025
  • Duties: equipment transportation, set up & take down, concession, bouncy castle supervision, drill station leads etc. 

Division Photographer

  • Date(s): weekly throughout the season on game days
  • Duties: take photos of your child’s team, and their opponents during warm up and games, and share images with Social Media Content Creator

Social Media Content Creator

  • Date(s): Ongoing
  • Duties: Creating ongoing content for SCYSA  to use to promote past, present and future SCYSA activities on our social media platforms

Division Coordinator

  • Date(s): Ongoing throughout the season
  • Duties: pre season support with confirming players team placement & coaches, and weekly ongoing coordination support 

Board Member

  • Dates(s): Nomination & election to board at AGM in June, monthly meetings throughout the year
  • Duties: attending monthly meetings, supporting with making decision about the operations & development of all SCYSA initiatives and programs

Equipment sorting/distribution/returns (as needed by Fields & Equipment Director)
