Additional Information & Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Phase 1 open to Expressions of Interest?

While the Technical Director conducts year-round, continuous evaluations across the club, Phase 1 of the formal evaluation process is intentionally kept open through an Expression of Interest system. This ensures fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all players who wish to be considered for the Competitive Pathway, regardless of whether they were previously identified through ongoing observation.

Who is the Technical Team?

The Technical Team refers to the group responsible for player evaluation and selection within the Competitive Pathway.

  • The Technical Director leads year-round observations and all formal evaluation phases
  • During Phases 1 and 2, evaluations are led primarily by the Technical Director
  • In Phase 3, current Competitive and Pre-Competitive coaches provide input as players train within team environments

Final decisions are made by the Technical Director, informed by cumulative observations and coach input.

Are current Competitive or Pre-Competitive players also evaluated?

Yes. During Phases 2 and 3, all players involved in the evaluation environments are observed. This ensures appropriate fit, balance, and readiness across the entire team.

Does progressing through a phase guarantee a spot on a team?

No. Each phase is evaluative in nature. Progressing through a phase does not guarantee final selection to a team.

What happens if a player does not progress to the next phase?

If a player does not progress to the next phase, their evaluation process concludes at that stage for the current competitive cycle.

Can a player be considered again in the future?

Yes. Evaluations are specific to each competitive cycle. Players are encouraged to continue developing and may be considered again in future evaluation periods.

Are there other development opportunities if a player does not make the Competitive Pathway?

Yes. Players who do not progress into the Competitive or Pre-Competitive Pathway may still have further opportunities to develop through the House Select Program.

The House Select Program is designed for motivated players within the Recreational pathway who are seeking an additional level of challenge, development, and game exposure, while continuing to train and play with their regular House teams.

Key features of the House Select Program include:

  • Players remain fully registered with their Recreational (House) teams and continue to participate in regular team training and matches
  • An additional training session is provided for House Select players as a group, focused on player development and increased challenge
  • Periodic House Select games are organized every few weeks against internal or external opposition
  • Occasional tournament participation may be included, depending on the season and available opportunities
  • The program is designed to keep players motivated, engaged, and progressing toward future Competitive Pathway evaluations

For 2026/2027, the House Select Program will be open to male players born between 2012 and 2016.

Participation in the House Select Program does not guarantee selection into the Competitive Pathway, but it provides a clear and supported development bridge for players who wish to continue working toward future opportunities.

Our goal is to place players in environments where they can best develop, compete, and enjoy the game.

Below are the U12-U18 Competitive team rosters for the upcoming 2026/27 soccer season.
