A. It’s best to layer up underneath your referee jersey. I wear several layers of short sleeve and long sleeve T-shirts. If it’s very cold I also occasionally wear a sweatshirt. As long as you are able to get your referee jersey over the top (and can tuck it in!) then it’s fine. You can wear a toque, but try and stay away from hoodies. If you want to keep the sun out of your eyes a baseball cap is OK. If you are getting very cold you can always try running around a bit more! It’s possible to stay comfortable while still looking professional, which is key to commanding the respect of the players, coaches and parents.
